New Year's resolutions | How to make them

and keep them 



1. Take small steps at a time :

Make one or two resolutions at a time. Don't over do it. You don't want to make a list of resolutions and end up confusing yourself and not doing a single of them.



2. Don't make a mission impossible :

Make sure the goal is not way beyond your capacity. Try to keep it real. Make sure it won't be too hard on you .




3. Try to think the good things that will be brought to your life by the resolution :

Keep yourself motivated by remembering yourself how it is going to change the life of you and people who loves you. It will help you to focus and make you want to accomplish the goal.



4. Make a contract with yourself :

Be clear and specific with what you want achieve. Make a deal with yourself .In return your giving the good change.





5. Make a plan :

You must have a good plan on how are you gonna do it, where to begin, whom to talk, where to go ,when to go etc. Write them down if necessary. Create a schedule compatible with your daily routine.Stick to the plan.




6. Take a resolution that includes your friends and family :

Study shows that you want to work harder for something that will help the person you love. 




7. Stay motivated :

You can read some motivational books or search for some motivational videos on the web or try to talk to someone who has already achieved what you want to achieve.





8. Give yourself a treat :

Reward yourself with something that doesn't affect your resolution after you achieve the goal.
